Hey...are you goin' to the Pet Rock Festival on October 27th? I heard it's gonna be groovy. Yeh...far out. I could get down and boogie over to the Historic Y to check it out.

Tucson CARES is a small but very active local animal welfare and rescue group whose goals are to:

    • eliminate the unnecessary euthanasia, neglect and abuse of companion animals in Tucson, Arizona
    • provide proactive prevention coupled with intervention programs for animal welfare
    • serve as a rescue and shelter for companion animals
    • eliminate pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs
    • educate the public about responsible pet ownership
    • promote TNR, Trap-Neuter-Release of Feral Cats
    • provide adoption and counseling services for the community and companion animals
    • assist in the prevention of cruelty to animals
    • build a coalition of proactive animal welfare and advocacy groups
    • advocate for No-Kill solutions as stated by The No Kill Declaration and Maddie's  Fund
